3:44pm: omg an update!
Yes, i’m still alive but still have no inet. I’m currently at a inet cafe but i guess it could be worse, lol. Anyways, I moved from where I was staying in Mississippi back to Louisiana now. Got a girlfriend and am working for her father as well. Its going good here. I have no idea when i’ll be able to pick up back working on such projects as the firefox no nag loader and other things, but hopefully its soon.

Oh ya and my bday was yesterday, so now i'm 24.

1:29pm: moving
Im moving again it looks like! I should have blogged about this earlier but with work and being to tired when I come home, I said fuck it. Anyways, my father bought another house thats located in Iuka mississippi. Its about a 30-35min drive to there from corinth. Most of all our stuff is packed up alrdy cept mine and some furniture.

I really didnt feel like moving today too, with being hungover from last night and working my ass off till like almost 9pm the other night. Hopefully we'll get the inet turned on over there soon. blah, oh well.

7:40am: weekend
On friday evening after I got off work, me and about 8 ppl went and camped up at pickwick dam. Brought plenty of booze and music and had fun. We also went swimming and fishing.

I came home sunday afternoon and damn my hangover :P. Anyways, time for work!

11:38pm: ram
It was to wet to work today so My dad and I went garage saling. We hit up about 4 of them and at the last one we went to, they had a old 83 dodge power ram truck across the road for sale. I couldn't resist and ended up buying it. Heres its stats:

pretty clean interior, no tears or rips (hasnt been drove in 2 years) .

Some rust in the bed. (Can get a cheap bed from a friend at the junkyard)

Its jacked up kinda high in the air too. After buying it, I bought some new spark plugs, a distro cap, gear oil, and rotor button. It fucking screams now. Runs perfect. Gas mpg isnt the best, only 14-15 but its a good work truck. I may fix it some more and not even use it for work. :P

The truck was $800. Parts bought at auto zone was like 30$ total.

6:36pm: Nah, im not
Thats what I said when they asked me if I was allergic to poison sumac. I just got off work today after helping my dad and another guy cut down 6 trees. No clean up on this job, just drop and leave. One tree I wanted to climb had poison sumac all over it and it had huge vines on it. I climbed about 35-40ft up in the air to place the rope in the tree so he could cut and drop it.

What does climbing a tree consist of? Well, first you put on some tree spikes. They strap around your ankles and shines. The inside of them have 1 spike on them and you bend your ankle some and kick the tree to drive the spikes in. Next you put on a saddle. It buckles around your waist. Some buckle up under your legs so you can sit down in them while attached to your lanyard. The lanyard is the belt you clip to your saddle and throw around the tree. You lean back in the lanyard to give your arms a rest + its a extra safety mesure in cause you fall. Thats also why you attach a rope to you and then tie out when you get to where youre going.

After climbing up 30ft or so I saw why leaning back in the lanyard is so useful. My fucking arms were KILLING me from pulling up. The sumac all up in my face and what not didnt bother me. What bothered me was trying to kick into the tree and not the vines because if you kick a vine it might rip out.

I didnt tie out to the top of the tree cuz I wouldn't have been cutting out of it, so I just brought up the rope with me that would be used to pull the tree over. After throwing it around a limb and securing it, I grabbed both ends and slowly rapelled down by using it and the tree.

Tree climbing is a great work out.

8:24pm: Work
Today K & S and us went up to do a job in pickwick. A Lady who had a trailer up on stilts right behind pickwick dam needed a tree cut. It was a large oak that was groaning crooked and leaning up on the trailer. We got there around 9am and got done around noon.

I got paid another 100$ for 2 days work with helpin K & S. After that my dad and I priced another job. 3 big pine trees. A Woman had a tree fall on her chimney and house because of last nights high winds and rain, so we cut it off it and loaded it up. It was a pin oak and wasn't to bad. My dad and I got it all cleaned up and dumped within 2 and a half hours.

Tomarrow we have to go take down a pecan tree thats about to fall on a guys house then top a pine tree.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that today, when I was riding to work with a member from K & S, a deer (doe), was along side the road in a grassy field running with the bucket truck. It was doin about 40-45mph until it finally out ran it a few mins later and crossed over in the road and disappeared into the woods. That was a pretty amazing sight to see.

10:45pm: truck
Last night I septn 400$ and bought a truck to help my dad work with. He tore up both his trucks and needed 1. His chevy truck, he tore the rear end out of it and needs to put the need spyder gears in the chunk. (Pulled to many trees/logs). The ford truck he has needs a new oil pump.

Anyways, the truck I bought is a 91 dodge f250. Its got a 360 motor in it. Also has a overdrive transmission in it too. Radio, ac, etc works. The back has a tommy lift gate on it for lifting heavy shit :P. It belonged to a guy who owned it worked for colca cola so he needed that lift gate t haul those coke vending machines. It handles good and it'll fuckin pick it with that 360 in it and even tho the lift gate is heavy.

Today we were helpin K & S tree service take down a big oak tree they had to doin burnsville. Carl (owner of it), brought his bucket truck and 2 dump trucks + a big vermeer wood chipper. God I love that chipper. That and his Komoda tractor. Makes the job sooooooo much easier. I wish my dad had his own bucket truck n tractor. We do shit the hard way, lol. Climb tree;'s, cut and rope then haul all by hand.

After that he helped us take down 2 pine tree's. One we completely dropped and the other had to be ropped and taken down in peices. Most was a cut and drop tho.

After that we went by my dad's friends shop to see the progress in puttin in his new rear end. He's gonna get to it tomarrow. Now, time for bed. We have to take down a huge oak tomarrow thats grown up thru the sidewalk n shit. It'll be easy with that bucket truck but will still take all day.

8:59pm: weee
Today was a long day. We had that new climber with us and we took down a large pine tree and got most it cleaned up. Then we went to a house that was for sale and took down a large oak that was completely dead. The oak was like 5-10 feet away from a pond and that was golden. We had been there before and the owner who was selling it said her grand daughter would walk up to the edge and feed the fish. It had a ton of catfish and sunfish/brim in it. As you stood up aggainst the shore youd see huge catfish and shit swim right up aaginst it waiting to be fed. We brought my fishing poles today and as we were cutting the tree and loading it up we fished.

We ended up cachin 10 catfish out there. Like 2 seconds after youd throw your line in theyd hit it. The ones we caught were about 3-5lbs cats. We coulda caught alot more but we had to go and didnt wanna take em all :P.

Every job we do needs to have a pond right behind it.

7:35pm: nc
We got a new climber today. His name is Patrick and he just arrived in boonville, MS from arkansas last sat. Hes 23 yrs old and his mom also passed away around 7 years ago. (Wierd coincidence huh?).

Anyways, hes a good worker and strong as an ox, which was great today. The 3 of us (Him, my dad and I). Took down to 4-5ft round trees and finished it all today for a Man who works for a insurance company. There was a small pond right behind them with a pier so it was a nice view.

8:16pm: day off
I thought we were gonna be working today, but with no climber we didnt have much to do. We did get a few other jobs lined up for tomorrow and the next day (when we'll have one).

For todays unexpected day off, My dad and I took my boat out the Riengi lake and went fishing. We set out a few catfish jugs and also brought our poles. We had no luck tho :(

On the way home my dad was telling me a funny story about how when he was about 25ish, him and his friend were in alabama and they were comin home from fishing. They were in a little truck pulling a boat (25hp motor, small boat) behind them and they were flying down some back country road. They were bothdrunk and were doin coke earlier. Anyways, a state trooper p;asses them by and he spins the car around and proceeds to light them up. My dads friend is like "pull over man!" and my dads like "Fuck that shit. Im not getting a DUI". So they speed up and theyre just slinging that truck and boat around. After a little bit, the boat motor goes flying off the back off the boat, bounces in the road and up on the hood of the state troopers car. After that if landed right in his fucking windshield and he drives off into a ditch.

As you can kinda see, My dad was pretty wild in his younger days. He told me that that boat motor was the thing that saved em from getting a ticket that day and I had to laugh because its the same make & model of motor I have on my boat currently.

8:19pm: splash
We finished up a job today for a lady who needed 11 pine trees taken down. I got paid $100 for 2 days of ground work. I also decided to drink about 3-4 mouth fulls of well water that hadnt been used and was untested after 10 years. So if I get sick and die, then thats why. (Yea, dumb me. It was hot out and I didnt have any other water near by so I reached for the closest faucet lol?).

After work My dad and I decided to go fishing so we went to a local bait shop and bought some turkey livers and minnows. We paid 3$ to fish in the owners pond because I had never fished there before and wanted to see how we'd do. Well, we got a few bites but didnt catch anything from fishing off the bank. Didnt bring my boat out this time :P

Perhaps on friday or the weekend we'll go fishing again and this time go back to the waterway with the boat.

12:02am: The reaper
I just got back from see'ing The Reaper, with my stepsister. The movie was decent and it gave me a chance to get out the house. I also finally got my glasses in so we picked them up too. I was suppost to be wearing glasses alrdy but I havent since about 2005. The result of that was a stigmatism and severe dbl vision now. I mainly need them for when I drive, but i ahould be wearing em all the time.

7:36pm: dead tree's
Suck. Yes, when you drop a dead tree you wouldnt believe how much shit breaks up. Picking up all that shit and having to rake it all is very annoying.

Today we finished up a job for a guy who had 4 trees to drop. 2 large pines, a red oak and some other kindof oak. The red oak was lightning stuck and was completely split all the way thru about halfway up the tree. Whrn it dropped, you could see it. After cuttin it up it looked like PERFECT firewood. Where lightning struck the tree all the bark was completely off it.

On the other oak it was completely dead but full of poison oak. It went down quick too and was easy to handle. Well, for me it wass cuz I had on long sleeves and gloves :P

Some days its real easy to find high climbers to work for us. Other days theyre helpin someone else or they laid out all night doing drugs. Today we were lucky and had 1 climber and 3 groundsmen and 1 woman (sight for sore eyes). Shes a good worker tho. My dad and I went fishin with her husband a few times so far. Hes a enjoyable fellow too. pure 100% country.

The weather wasnt to bad today. Had a little rain and some chilly weather but fine to work in. We were up workin right across the Tenn. state line in mickie.

Todays total # of trailer loads of brush & wood chunks hauled = 7. And its a big trailer too :P

9:04am: Timber
So, today we had to finish up cutting down a huge pin oak tree. The base was about 7-8 ft around. Pretty heavy logs too. We got most loaded up on the trailer but have to go back tomorrow to get more. Perhaps on the next job or tomorrow, i’ll take my digi cam and take a few pics of my new enviorment and job. Hopefully it won’t be so cold tomorrow morning either

9:03am: back
Wow, its been a crazy week or two. I started helping my dad take down trees and its tough & dangerous work. Not so dangerous if the climbers (the one who cutsmost), isnt fucked up on some kinda pills and actually listens to the groundman (boss), who calls the shots. Bad thing is most climbers think they know wtf theyre doing and dont wanna listen. Ive seen a few close calls so far and one whee part of a huge 300-400 tree trunk had to be blocked down and it jumped out the eye of the knot, fell and busted up a few boards on a wooden deck. Which was bound to happen some how. The tree was up about 75-85 feet and had a wooden deck surrounding in along with a house like 5 feet away. Crazy shit.

Aside from that, on the weekends cept for last sunday, my Dad and I have been going fishing. I bought a little 16ft flat bottom aluminum boat with a 25hp motor on it & trailer. Its a decent boat and runs alright, but the carb needs rebuilt and some other stuff added. Last time we took it out I caught a 4lb catfish. Was the only one that daywho did

Currently i’ve been getting up around 6:30-7am and working till 3 or 5pm then coming home, sh0wering, eating then going to bed. Comcast came today and hooked up the digital cable and net which I paid for. So atm i’m on a 6mb up 3 down line. Woot :P.

If I get more time and motivation I’ll start back into messing with web app security and other thngs. But for right now, I won’t be on much, maybe 1-2 hours a day just chatting with friends and see’ing whats what.

9:01am: Configure
So, I’ve been getting the basics down of linux command prompt and I compiled a few programs and games so far. Its pretty interesting and it’s nice to learn something new. The distro of linux I’m learning on is Debian. I had to get a new shell account because the host of the old one I had kept going down and was pretty unreliab. I also spent a few hours today playing ADOM and Nethack. Theres a public nethack server you can telnet to at nethack.alt.org.

ADOM, I was no stranger to. I remember playing that when I was 17 & going to a community college for pc tech. Heh, was playing that when I was suppost to be working. I never did finish the course there because I wasn’t interested in what they had to teach and I got in some trouble. I wanted to do more then math problems for 5-6 weeks & start working with a heathkit. It was a great learning experience tho, even if all the info taught were decades old. Band way outdated

I’ve thought about going back to school now and really trying to put forth the effort. Maybe finding a different course and actually paying attention because I know its really worth it and is needed. Hopefully in the future something can be done as far as that goes.

9:00am: Macro 4tw
Yea, I know I haven’t updated in a few days so forgive me. I haven’t been doing anything worth mentioning except still slowly learning perl and building scripts to cheat in the current online game i’m playing. The latter has really been going well. Current things that I can macro so far:

mining

regaining stamina (needed for moving/fighting)

selling stuff (useful when your backpack gets full)

crafting

fighting

And thats about it. Usually what I’ll do is turn on the scripts I wanna macro with then go back into reading about perl and working. I’ve gotten to about pg 273 of this “Teach yourself perl in 21 days” 1125 pg ebook. It’s about read from sequences of files, reading into a array, and then reading command line arguments as values.

I talked with my brother tonight who’s currently in the navy. I updated him on the situation with the house being sold and that drew will be sending him some papers to sign in regards to the act of succession drew started.

Finally, the ball is rolling. I can’t wait to leave here and start somewhere else. Im so use to starting over in new places, it shouldn’t be that hard again should it?

8:58am: Jury duty = pwned & mmorpg update
I got up today and got drew to drive me to covington for the 8:30am appointment I had there as a petit juror. The drive is 60 miles total there & back. I get in, sit around with other jurors (about 150 showed up or so), and finally at a quarter to elevn the jury commisoner starts talking for a few minutes, telling us what we can expect and shit.

After she finishes talking she puts on a 20min long video that shows 3 judges telling us what we can also epect from the experience. Like, how the PA and DA will ask us questions and the judge as well. The jury commisoner then tells us this one judge will be coming in to talk with us afterwards as well.

After the movie ends I go up to the JC and mention to her that I sent in a letter and the judge denied it, and that altho I managed to get up here today, I won’t have any transportation to get home. She told me that i’d have to wait for the judge to come then talk to him about it.

At this point im kinda confused because in the video and as the JC said, if we got picked by a judge to be in a jury pool with other jurors, (not meaning youre offically on jury yet, just selected to be asked questions by PA and DA, judge etc), if we got picked, she said at that time that the judge who picked us would also talk to us as well. So now i’m thinking “ok, so if I get picked then i’ll explain to that judge my situation. I dont think this other judge coming in would handle my excuse because it wasnt one listed in the above”.

the judge comes and like the jury comissoner before, tells us a list of reasons we can use to be dismissed from jury duty.

70 yrs old or older.

convicted of a felony or have been charges pending.

Mental or physical disabilities. (I probably coulda got off with the metal one lol).

A student with student ID as proof and a letter from the school theyre attending.

After saying this, he makes everyone form a line who thinks they have a reasonable excuse and they wait. (Line was pretty long too and about 50% got dismissed).

That judge then leaves and the JC starts calling out names of whos been picked to be in the first judges jury pool.

Lemme explain something here, the JC said that if you were picked by the first judge, you’d have to wait there until being called in and asked questions, then you’d find out after if you’d been selected. If the JC was able to tell you if you had been selected then you’d have to call a # after 4:30 pm the next day and listen to a recording made by the JC that says you either have to come in the next day or you’ve been dismissed.

If you got picked by the second judge (was some woman judge, forgot her name now), then you’d be notified that you may leave immediately today and you’d have to come back at 9am tomorrow morning.

Heres the bad part. The JC didn’t tell us we’d have to come back the next morning if you got picked by that second female judge UNTIL AFTER that judge left (the one I mentioned who came earlier). If she had said it before, then I probanbly would have got in that line.

So..guess which judge I got picked for?

Yea, you guessed it, the second one. (Which was a fucking blessing now tbh).

After I got picked and those people left, i spoke to the JC and told her I had no transportation to get there tomorrow or to even get home today for that matter. She kept telling me there was nothing she could do blah blah, and that I should have told that to the judge who came there earlier.

I asked to use their phone and I called up drew and told him what she said. Well, he wasnt very happy and after talking with him a few minutes he told me quote ”Ask that JC if theres anyone there I can talk to who has some common sense”. That made me laugh, but I did tell her that.

Her facial expression as well as her coworker, mindy’s, expression was kinda lolable. After practicly begging to that JC to tell drew what she could tell me, she told him. And after she told him that she hung up on him LOL!. Well, I asked to use her phone again and she said “Call your stepfather back, tell him to come get you and we’ll find another juror to take your place tomorrow”. So, I did, and he came and got me.

Pwned!. There were 3 people in that office who heard her tell me that too. (The JC, her coworker mindy, and some older gentleman she was conversing with). So, witnesses 4tw.

K, now that thats over with, (fuck that was alot to type) I was working on my browser based mmorpg last night some more too. Got a simple chatroom setup for it (all tags filtered too for security reasons) and got a Random number guessing game added. Later today I’ll add a slots machine game and code in the anti flooding for the chatroom + forgot password feature for accounts. (Ya, I know I shoulda did those earlier).

So, thats my day for today.

8:57am: Monday
So, todays monday and usually I dislike mondays but today doesn’t seem so bad. A few days from now I get to go with Drew to some real estate and successions lawyer to handle selling his house. See, my setpfather married my mother when my brother and I was real young and in 94 they bought the house he’s trying to sell now.

Well, she passed away in sept. 00 and didn’t have a will. So now, my brother and I get a small inheritence and hence the laywers. Drew still needs to accquire the death cert tho, which is what hes been busy doing today. My brother needs to be located too in regards to this succession and just so we know wtf he’s at. His gf called on sept 29th and said he got discharged from the navy and we havent heard anything from him since. Dunno if he checks this site or has pc access but if he does, should contact me asap.

8:55am: Oh noes an update!
Just finished updating wp. Saw Gummo & The Quiet last night too.

Man, I can’t believe I never saw that movie before. It was recommend I see it but yea..finally did. As I was watching it, I noticed that the typesof people in that movie were alot of the same ones around here as well.

The Quiet was a interesting movie with a decent plot & ending. I’d recommend it for anyone who likes dramas.

In RL news:

A few days ago the Jury comissioner called me and said the judge denied my request to be exused from jury duty. So now,i get to still fucking go in on the 22nd. Hopefully I can try calling again and explain to them now how the situation changed. Stupid judicial system

8:54am: Back
K, well i’m still here. I tried making a few calls today to 3 people but they were not there at the moment. I was also waiting for my biological dad to call me back today in regards to me coming to live with him, but he hasnt called yet. It’s alrdy a sure fire thing, but there was something else that had to do with drew selling the house that I’m not so sure about yet.

Other then that, I had the oppertunity of helping a neighbor install her charter cable. Yay?. Now she wants me to teach her how to use the intraweb one day ^_^

Anyways, I suppose I’ll go do something more productive now. Or maybe try calling those 3 ppl back.

Saw The Wicker Man tonight and altho I’m not a big Nicolas Cage fan, I thought the movie was decent. Kinda suspected what would happen half way thru the movie but eh, whatever.

Anyways, I added a few new files to the files page and yea. I have a long day tomorrow in regards to dealing some RL stuff which includes my stepdad selling the house etc.

So if im around I’ll be sure to post about it. If something happens, I won’t just disapear without saying anything .
